Victoria Polakoff
Since picking up my first National Geographic at the age of four, I have been captivated by the powerful impact of photography and its ability to express the beauty within the shadows. This passion ignited the moment I picked up my mom's Canon Powershot and started shooting in my backyard. I fell in love with black & white film photography in my high school's small and dimly-lit darkroom. Experienced in both studio lighting and natural lighting, I personally prefer using natural light.
Up until recently, I have spent the past couple of years working in Marketing for Whole Foods Market where I had the opportunity, among other things, to discover the world of food styling & photography.
When I am not studying, you can sometimes find me baking/cooking in my kitchen, hiking with my boyfriend, Nick, and our Jack Russell Terrier, Winston, working on a ridiculously complicated puzzle (I know, it's dorky), or at a farmer's market.
(Pictured above) My boyfriend and I stopped in Big Sur on our road trip from Los Angeles to Vancouver. If you are planning to drive up the West Coast and looking for some tips/advice, shoot me an email!
